System components

Here's an overview of the elements in our UWB positioning and communication system

NOTE: not each element is a hard requirement, as they can be integrated with other systems

Trackable tags

Our tag PCB’s can be mounted to different surfaces or inserted into different (e.g. wearable) casings, to track the desired object or person.

Sidenote:  The tag casings image on the left is only indicative. We have hardware in different form factors depending on the application’s needs (small form factor, wearble, rechargeable, CAN bus interop, …)

Anchor REFERENCES

Anchors are spread across the area, to be able to perform trilateration or multilateration. They are comparable to satellites in a GNSS positioning system (“GPS”).

Remark: for some applications (for example if you only need distances between tags, not positions) you might not need anchors (only tags)

Control & monitoring Software

The UWB setup settings and output can be controlled using our cross-device software application, which can run on multiple devices which are constantly in sync.

Remark: You do not need our hardware to get started with our visualisation platform. You can also use boards from other vendors, for example Decawave’s DWM1001 boards!

Web app

You would like to access your RTLS infrastructure over the web, through any device? We have just the thing for you: our cloud portal! Track object movement in 3D, view RTLS statistics, and more! The portal can be cloud-hosted or alternatively locally on-premises. It can serve as an example / starting point for integration of RTLS data into your own app.

What makes our system unique?

Here’s why we’re trusted by top sports tech integrators and universities

In our experience these features make us unique:

  • We do not require every anchor to be wired. We can get all data from the anchors from one anchor which we call the “listener”. Of course, some redundancy can be built in as well.
  • Easy setup / installation. Set up the hardware, bring up our RTLS manager’s executable and you’re good to go. Our devices will start signalling and automatically be detected and configured by the software, over the air.
  • Advanced real-time debugging capabilities. View all UWB messages and filter them with high-speed during operation.
